Title of the publication Development and characterization of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii low chlorophyll mutants to improve photosynthetic efficiency and biomass
Highlights CRCM7 and CRCM13, were generated with reduced antenna size when compared with wild type. Mutants exhibited a high Chla/b ratio, photochemical yields of PSII, electron transport rate, cell density, and lipid content. Mutants may be useful to augment the bioproducts including biofuels on a commercial scale.
